Cosmetic Procedures—Advertising & Patient Information

Purpose

This page explains how we advertise higher-risk cosmetic procedures and what that means for you as a patient.

What counts as a higher-risk non-surgical cosmetic procedure?Examples include anti-wrinkle treatments, dental veneers, teeth whitening and similar procedures that must be performed or overseen by registered health practitioners.

How we advertise (our commitments to you):

Educational, not promotional: We provide balanced, factual info so you can make informed choices.
No testimonials or influencer promotions: We don’t publish or re-share patient reviews, Stories/Reels, or influencer endorsements about clinical outcomes.
No naming prescription-only products: We never advertise prescription medicines by name.
Respectful language & images: No sexualised, glamorised, trivialising or “perfect/ideal” claims.
Not for under-18s: We don’t target or design content for people under 18.

Images & “Before/After”Photos/videos are of our own patients, taken under comparable conditions, with no filters/retouching.
Every post includes: “Results vary. This shows one person’s outcome. We do not use images of anyone under 18. Consent for image use is separate from treatment consent and can be withdrawn at any time—we’ll remove images where possible.

Risks, recovery & realistic expectations

Cosmetic procedures have risks, side effects and recovery times. We’ll explain these in your consultation and share written info before treatment. Outcomes vary by individual. We don’t guarantee results or suggest procedures will fix wellbeing or self-esteem. We will not offer these procedures as competition prizes.

Pricing & who treats you

Where we show price ranges, they’re clear, honest and inclusive of what’s described. We’ll tell you exactly who will perform your procedure and their registration status. We never claim specialist status unless the practitioner is officially registered as a specialist.

Your privacy & consent (photos/videos)

We obtain written, separate consent for any image use. You can review images before use, ask where they’ll appear, and withdraw consent later. We store originals securely in line with health-record requirements.
